Kendra Prospero – CEO and Founder
Kendra started Turning the Corner, LLC after realizing she was spending all her time thinking about how she could help people be more fulfilled in their jobs. At IBM, she worked in software development, consulting services, sales support, and training. On the side, she spent years counseling coworkers on their careers, giving resume advice and bringing talented people together. She has helped many people land great positions in fields they are passionate about and are thriving in.
With her diverse background, she has a deep understanding of the different types of jobs and personalities that are out there and what makes that perfect fit. Kendra has a sixth sense about what makes people special from mentoring hundreds of new employees over 13 years at IBM. She has a real gift for looking beyond outward appearances to identify people’s unique talents.
There are two little people in her life that wake her and her husband at 5:30 everyday. She spends every free minute she has playing with her family. She is also a news junkie and loves to read every newspaper she can get her hands on.

Ginger Robitaille, PHR – COO & HR Generalist
Ginger has a strong background in Staffing and Operations. She is accomplished at building teams from the ground up, and analyzing current teams to identify their strengths and weaknesses. Ginger also specializes in helping job seekers through career coaching and resume writing to assist them through their career self-discovery and job search processes. She balances out her time with being an HR Generalist, helping small companies as they grow, providing HR consulting and leadership training.
When Ginger is not helping build great teams, she is climbing mountains (literally). She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and dogs enjoying everything the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming have to offer. Hiking, fishing, and camping is how she spends her summers. In the fall you will find her analyzing data and making her football fantasy team the best in the league, let’s hear it, three cheers for team Turbo Tux!
Shana Gerson, PHR – Senior HR Manager & Career Coach
Shana Gerson has over 10 years experience in Human Resources. She has worked with small startup organizations to large international fortune 500 companies. Shana has both tactical and strategic HR knowledge and has the ability to align HR programs and business goals by building partnerships with management. She has created HR departments for startup companies and has experience running day to day operations. Her experience with human resources consulting, employee relations, hiring, compensation, training, performance management, organizational development and mergers and acquisitions makes her an invaluable asset for all our clients. Shana received her degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and has her Professional Human Resources certification. She is also the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation Director.
When Shana is not helping small businesses with their HR needs she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog. She loves anything outdoors and adventure traveling. When she has a spare minute, Shana enjoys winding down with yoga and reading a good book.
Drew Bonder, MSIO – Director of Business Services
Drew brings over 10 years of experience partnering with people and organizations to help build success in a multitude of ways. He brings a unique skill set that is perfect for truly working alongside companies to identify the best solutions to create successful and productive environments.He began his career practicing, supervising teams, and building programs around mental health and addictions therapeutic practices for the State of Colorado. After transitioning to staffing, he spent nearly 5 years gaining significant insight into the job seeker experience as a Recruiter, and then companies’ needs as an Account Manager. He received his Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Denver.
He loves escaping to the mountains with his wife, daughter, and dog, and spending as much time in the great outdoors as possible. As a child of winter, you will find him snowboarding any opportunity he gets. Fall weekends consist of watching the Broncos and Texas Longhorns football – Austin, TX transplant.
Jessica Meglio – Senior Recruiter
Jessica’s interest in learning about people and their passions combined with her broad experience in recruiting helps her to connect great candidates with great companies. Jessica comes from a background in Agency Recruiting which has exposed her to many industries, many companies and of course many job-seekers both active and passive. Jessica’s strengths include: sourcing, interviewing, candidate coaching and client management Jessica has a true passion for people and strives to make a difference with every interaction. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida located in Tampa, Florida.
She has brought her passion for supporting others to Denver, CO where she resides with her husband, Matt and their 3-year-old son. She loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking in the foothills, summiting 14er’s, snowshoeing and all things Colorado, which includes, sampling some of the finest eateries and attending concerts at Red Rocks.
Mark Popenhagen – CMO & Career Coach
Utilizing over 25 years of marketing expertise, Mark brings a diverse set of talents and strengths perfectly matched for our team. His experience has included executive level management, business development, hiring, employee development and motivation and, of course, marketing. He has even started and successfully sold a small business. In addition Mark’s experience in executive management gives him wonderful insights for career coaching and helping people set and exceed their goals. His desire to help people fulfill their dreams is evident in his truthful approach to marketing and his dedication to our clients.
In his spare time, Mark loves to explore the mountains, bike, ski and board with his 3 children.
Elizabeth Scolnick – Marketing & PR Manager
Elizabeth helps manage successful marketing projects from development to execution. Her 15 years of project/product management experience within the high-tech industry is helping Turning the Corner become an industry authority. Working in both start up, medium, and large organizations, she continues to use her strong background in B2B marketing & strategy, research analysis, and client relations to help Turning the Corner achieve its goals. Elizabeth also aids in research analysis to identify appropriate job opportunities, leverage professional networks, and strategically target best-fit companies for a variety of job seekers. Her motivation, strong work ethic, and organizational skills help our job seekers get the results they need!
When she is not saving the world from joblessness, you could find her skiing and exploring the Colorado mountains with her husband, son, and daughter. She loves to volunteer at her kids’ school, play a competitive game of Scrabble, spend quality time with friends, and curl up with a good book.
Torrie Pottorff – Administrative Manager
Torrie has an extensive sales background and has worked with clients in the professional sports industry for over 12 years. Her passion for bringing people together and creating organizational systems helps companies and their people to thrive. Her proven record in helping individuals and companies succeed will benefit both job seekers and businesses.
Torrie loves to camp and fish with her husband, two kids and dog. She spends most of her free time watching her kids play sports all over the front range area.
Mary Garrison – Executive Assistant
Mary has a strong administrative background, having landed her first office job at the age of 15 in a real estate office. From there she worked her way through car dealerships, an art reproduction firm, title company, bank, and 39.5 years with IBM and Manpower.
She has a strong interest in helping youth succeed in life. She coordinated a high school coop program at IBM, served as Mother Advisor of Assembly 3 of the Int’l Order of Rainbow for Girls, was a DeMolay Sweetheart chaperone, volunteered as a chaperone for the Berthoud High School cheer squad, and served as the Secretary of the Northern Colorado All American Baseball Congress and team mom/statistician of her son’s traveling baseball team.
Now that Mary is working part-time, you can still find her on a baseball field, supporting her grandsons or playing princess Legos with her granddaughter. Mary loves a good book, bowling, sewing, baking, and playing the piano. You can also find her tweaking her strategy to beat the youngsters that participate in her Fantasy Football League.
