John Bartley
Director – People and HR Services
John has worked in a wide variety of Human Resources disciplines for 20 years, primarily serving mission-driven organizations in healthcare, scientific research, and public service. Though he started his career in Recruiting, areas of passion and expertise also include employee onboarding, performance management, engagement/retention, training, and EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion). John truly enjoys working with business leaders to identify the issues that are getting in the way of a happy and harmonious work environment.
Originally from the East Coast, he spent 18 years in Seattle before trading the rain for sun and relocating to Denver in 2016. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Theater from Oberlin College.
John is a classically trained vocalist, and still makes music with Kantorei, a nationally recognized choir in Denver. When he’s not singing, he’s creating woodworking chaos in his garage, gardening, or hiking with his husband and their dog, Edmund Fitzgerald (Fitz).
